How to care for your flowers

All our flowers are picked and arranged close to delivery to give you maximum enjoyment and good value from your bouquet.

Here at Sow Pretty we actively choose not to treat the stems or foliage with chemicals, so we've got together a few simple tips to ensure all of your flowers stay stunning.

Treat every bloom with love and care.

Change the water every one or two days to avoid a build-up of smelly and harmful bacteria.

In a quiet moment take a couple of seconds to remove any faded flowers or foliage and freshen up the remaining flowers.

Every 2 days trim a small amount off the ends of the stems to allow improved water absorption.

The best place to display your bouquet?

That would be a cool area with good natural light. Please don't put them above or near a radiator when it's on. Putting the bouquet near a fruit bowl is also to be avoided as ripening fruits like bananas emit gasses that encourages some flowers to drop their leaves and petals.

Lastly, a gentle warning.

Always be cautious when handling any plant materials and keep them away from any food or drink items.
